Wood and metal award plaque from American Guild of Music presented to Les Paul (1915-2009) and Mary Ford (1924-1977), a popular 1950s husband-and-wife musical team in which Les Paul played the guitar and Mary Ford sang. In 1951 alone, they sold six million records. Some of their hits include "Tennessee Waltz", "Mockin' Bird Hill", "How High the Moon", and "The World Is Waiting for the Sunrise". A major music production innovator, Les Paul is the only person to be included in both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the National Inventors Hall of Fame. Approximately 10 x 12 inches.
