Walt Disney World The Grand Canyon Concourse (1971) acrylic matte-screened print autographed by Disney artist Mary Blair (1911-1978). Blair is best known for her concept art for such films as Alice in Wonderland (1951), Peter Pan (1953), and Cinderella (1950) as well as the It's a Small World attraction.The Contemporary Resort Hotel was one of two Disney-owned hotels on property that was in operation on Walt Disney World's opening day, October 1, 1971. Mary Blair was instrumental in the interior design and decoration of the Contemporary, and her Grand Canyon Concourse mural remains the focal point of the main public space. High-quality prints of her design paintings for the mural were framed and hung throughout the hotel.This beautiful art print of a design painting for the Grand Canyon Concourse was given to Mary Blair, and she signed it vertically along the right side.
